Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Conclash but were afraid to ask
Why aren't you calling it the Dead Wars anymore?
We changed the name to Conclash to better reflect the event. "Dead Wars" was a great name for the first year, in which players faced a huge army of undead, but we're not going to be doing that this year. "Conclash" is a combination of the words "Con" and "Clash" and is a play on the words "Convention" and "Clash".
Where will the event be held?
The event will be held at the Provo Towne Center Mall in Provo, Utah. The address is:
1200 Towne Center Blvd
Provo, UT 84601

No, the game itself is only taking place on Saturday. Seating starts at 3 p.m., and the game itself goes from 4-8 p.m. The other times of the event will be open to other games, panels, and activities.
What comes with the ticket?
The ticket includes a seat at the game, as well as extra goodies like dice, lanyards, and items to commemorate the event.
How can I catch up with the lore?
Conclash takes place in the living campaign setting of Spearfall. We've put togeher a special website to help you catch up with all the lore and history of the world: Spearfall.com
Can family and friends come to the mall even if they don't have a ticket?
Of course! Those two days, we will offer many free and open experiences at the mall such as gaming, vendors, stage exhibits, live music, food, and other activities that anyone can enjoy free without tickets.
Is it a competitive game? Will there be PVP combat?
No, this year it's cooperative. Everyone will be cooperating together to explore a massive dungeon.
Are there different factions like last year?
Those five factions still exist in the world of Spearfall, and your character can be a member of any of them. However, this year we'll be organizing around different roles for dungeon explorers, including Exterminators who focus on heavy combat, Codebreakers who do more puzzle-solving, and Vanguard to lead the way.
Will there be VIP guests like last year?
This remains to be seen.
What will registration be like?
This year's registration will be slightly different from the previous years. Dungeon Masters will register first, and then players can sign up to join their table.
How do I know where I'm sitting?
Seating will be assigned by zone. At registration, you will sign up for a table which has a unique name, and you can find your table by going to your zone (Exterminators, Codebreakers, or Vanguard) and finding the table with your squad's name on it.
I have a group of friends who want to play together. How do we get the same table?
During registration, you choose which table you want to play at. When choosing, please select all the tickets your group needs; either have all your friends buy at roughly the same time or elect someone to buy everyone's tickets and pay them back.
I DON'T have a group of friends to play with? Where can I sit?
Choose any table that you see that is open but has other people already sitting at it.
Do you need Dungeon Masters?
YES! We can't do this event without Dungeon Masters! Dungeon Masters will also get extra loot and goodies for registering!
When will adventures be available for Dungeon Masters to look over?
We expect to release the Dungeon Master packet no later than April 2026. There will also be a Discord channel for Dungeon Masters to use to communicate and ask questions.
What are the rules for character creation?
Character creation has not been finalized yet, so stay tuned. It will be similar to the previous years. The base outline is an LVL 5 character using the Adventure's League (Version 12) and the Players Handbook from 2014.
Will there be remote play available?
We expect there to be, but haven't designed this part of th egame yet. The adventure itself will be different for players playing remotely; however, you will still be able to play in an epic game and send your results to We Geek Together to help tell the story!
