About Conclash

Conclash is an annual gaming festival hosted by We Geek Together in Provo, Utah, held in May. The event, which began as "Dead Wars," earned a Guinness World Record in its first year for the most players of Dungeons & Dragons, cementing its place as a premier tabletop RPG event.

What is Conclash?

Conclash has been held at the Provo Towne Center Mall and offers a unique festival-like atmosphere. It's a two-day celebration of geek culture, featuring a variety of local vendors, engaging side quests, and special events alongside the main game. Costumes are encouraged, creating an immersive and vibrant community environment for all attendees.

Conclash V: Aurelian's Assault

2027 marks the fifth Conclash. A charismatic demigod named Aurelian has been collecting mortal souls through binding contracts, amassing an elite, mind-controlled army with glowing golden eyes. His endgame is a three-pronged assault on Kingdom Grand, and the Adventurers Guild needs every hero it can find. Our free monthly adventures are the best way to follow the story before game day.

At Conclash V, the battle for Kingdom Grand is fought on three interconnected fronts at once. When you register, you choose your division:

• Land: heavy infantry and trench warfare outside the city walls, against Aurelian's phalanxes, minotaur shock units, and bronze siege automatons. Bring down the Helepolis, his self-driving siege tower, and your wall ballistas give the Air division covering fire.
• Sea: naval warfare in the harbor, where galleons and privateer boats clash with gilded triremes, swarms of corsair skiffs, and the Ketos, a sea serpent out of old myth loosed by the Admiral. Secure the harbor's supply caches to resupply struggling Land and Air tables.
• Air: aerial dogfights above the city on waxwing gliders, pegasi, and airships, against enemy drop-ships, sky-chariots, manticore screens, and winged thralls. Spot enemy movements to hand Tactical Advantage to the Land division.

Every division's successes feed the others, so all three fronts contribute to the same victory.

Conclash at Sea

New this season: Conclash at Sea, a separate Conclash event held aboard a cruise ship from March 6–13, 2027. Aurelian's forces have seized a necromantic relic and are raising an undead army to reinforce his fleet. The players at sea decide whether that Undead Tide ever reaches Kingdom Grand: win, and Aurelian gets no undead reinforcements in May; fall short, and the Sea division at Conclash V faces a harder fight. The Game

The core of Conclash is a massive Dungeons & Dragons adventure, taking place within the rich and expansive campaign setting of Spearfall. The main game runs on Saturday evening (previous years ran 4–8 p.m.) and uses our innovative Legion Player Game system, which was invented specifically for hosting simultaneous games on this massive scale. Participants join forces with up to six players per game master for an epic four-hour fantasy adventure. As you explore the world of Spearfall, you'll engage in collaborative storytelling and strategic combat.

To ensure a smooth experience for all players, we provide a custom scorekeeping app. If you prefer, dedicated captains are also on-site, circulating among the tables to assist with score reporting and answer any questions. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or new to the world of D&D, this tabletop RPG event is an unforgettable journey.

Getting Ready to Play

To prepare for your adventure, we provide a comprehensive packet for all game masters. Players will follow our standard rules for character creation, with most participants beginning at Level 4.

For those eager to dive deeper into the lore and story of Spearfall, we offer a saga of pre-event adventures. These can be played in the weeks leading up to Conclash and are available for registration on our website, Dice Outpost.
